What is the difference between Coaching and Therapy?

Coaching is therapeutic, but it’s not therapy: Coaches don't diagnose or treat, yet they can guide you to your own right path. Coaching addresses dysfunctional patterns and builds skills to develop healthier habits.

When can I expect Results?

Making change that lasts takes time and depends on motivation and individual factors, like readiness and support. Many people report increased hope and confidence after the first session, and sustainable change can occur within six months.

Does a Health Coach tell me what to do?

A coach will help you attain your goals, identify and break through limiting beliefs, and ask you tough questions so that you can live the life you really want. A coach will not boss you around or tell you what to do. They will offer fresh perspectives, support, and guidance while challenging you to reach higher and stretch for growth.

What is the difference between a diet and a Health Coach Program?

Diets have been proven to be ineffective long term where the yo-yoing effect can actually be more harmful than helpful. Health coaching takes a deeper and more holistic approach which will enable you to achieve lasting lifestyle and behavior change.

What do I have to give up in a Health Coach Program?

With health coaching, you'll learn what choices produce healthy outcomes and what tends to hinder healthy outcomes. You'll also be exposed to and encouraged to try new things that contribute to a healthy lifestyle. After being equipped with this knowledge and experience, you ultimately decide for yourself what health outcomes you want to achieve, then receive support in making the changes you choose to make to achieve your goals.

What does Health Coaching look like?

During each one-on-one session, together you’ll explore what's happening, reflect on recent successes, reframe failures in a judgement-free zone, and adjust goals to make sure you continue to move forward. You will learn strategies and access resources to support you in developing new habits. Your coach will brainstorm with you, listen deeply to your ideas, and work with you to address obstacles ahead of time.

Does a Coach need to be an expert in my health issues in order to help?

A  Health Coach is an expert in behavior change and is able to partner with you to make the lifestyle changes that lead to your best life. Coaches are trained to ask powerful questions, listen deeply, and help you gain the confidence it takes to make individualized changes that last.

How long are the sessions?

The sessions are 50 minutes, every other week

The average program is 6 months, this allows you to reach and maintain sustainable goals
